Supporting over-the-top (OTT) players to provide a compelling video streaming experience to their subscribers is Broadpeak’s agenda at this month’s BroadcastAsia 2022. As such, the French company has lined up a showcase of its streaming solutions, including its cloud digital video recorder (DVR), multicast adaptive bit rate (ABR) and content delivery network (CDN).

Broadpeak’s Advanced CDN is future-proofed for video delivery by leveraging an open, dynamic and elastic architecture. Designed to be fitted at the heart of the operator’s video streaming system, Advanced CDN ensures that the video service reaches the end-user with the best possible quality of experience while managing storage and bandwidth resource usage.

With Advanced CDN, operators will be able to control which CDN features are being used for each session with a granularity based on the request characteristics.

As a member of the SVA Initiative, Broakpeak has also developed an in-network, open caching system that addresses traffic issues and enables cooperation between content owners and pay-TV operators, resulting in a more compelling experience for subscribers.

Broadpeak will also demonstrate its nano-CDN which brings scalability and low latency to the live multi-screen video delivery environment. Visitors to the Broadpeak booth can witness how nano-CDN benefits video service delivery and supports the latest trends in live sports rights acquisition and streaming.

Broadpeak’s broadpeak.io will also make its debut at BroadcastAsia 2022. The software-as-a-service (SaaS) video streaming solution is an API-based platform, offering content providers, pay-TV operators and OTT service providers to deliver advanced streaming services to their subscribers. The demonstration at the booth will focus on blackout service, virtual channels and ad insertion applications. Broadpeak will be exhibiting at booth 6E-207 during BroadcastAsia 2022, which will take place from 1-3 Jun 2022 at Singapore Expo.
