At Asia Video Summit (AVS) 2022, the Asia Video Industry Association (AVIA)’s flagship event of the year, key stakeholders will come together to discuss the state of Asia’s video industry and examine key topics such as the growing role of advertising, the technology behind the customer experience, and the role of news and sports today.
The first AVS to be held in-person in three years, this year’s edition will dwell around five key themes, namely, The State of Video, News & Sports, The Future of Video, The Advance of Advertising, and Behind the Customer Experience.
One of the sessions that will be featured on November 1 is Everything in its Right Place, which will be presented by Dhivya T, Head of Video Content and Platform Insights at MPA and AMPD. He will be joined by Johan Buse, Chief, Consumer Business Group, StarHub; and Jay Yang, CEO of TVING; the three of them will discuss what they now see as the core DNA of their organisations. In the face of continued digital disruption, they will also share the roles their organisations are playing within the video ecosystem.
On November 2, the session titled In Conversation: How Monetisation Models of Media Companies are Evolving?, Parminder Singh, CCO and CDO at Mediacorp, and Shad Hasmi, Asia-Pacific Partner Lead, monetisation, and offer insights into the evolution of the media revenue model.Media and Entertainment, Amazon Web Services, will discuss the future of media and content
Other speakers attending AVS 2022 include Nini Yusof, Deputy CEO of Media Prima; Kirana Chew, Deputy Director, Strategic Content Group, True Corporation; Clarissa Tanoesoedibjo, Managing Director of Vision+; and Sidd Mantri, Head of Product – Developing Markets at Disney Streaming.
The AVS will be held from 31 October-3 November 2022 at voco Orchard Singapore. The summit will open with a Policy Roundtable, followed by the Main Events on the second and third day, concluding with the State of Piracy Summit session.
