Media supply chain vendor Ateliere is showcasing its no-code packaging capability at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show 2023 in Las Vegas. According to its Chief Revenue Officer Eric Carson, this capability can help customers lower their costs by simplifying the media supply chain. Carson explained that the no-code packaging capability allows customers to perform metadata transformation, media transcode, delivery instructions, and media collection in one place without having to write scripts or build large amounts of infrastructure.
This technology has been in development for the last couple of years and is being showcased at the NAB Show 2023. In addition to its no-code packaging capability, Ateliere is also showcasing its ability to help large archives move to the cloud more cheaply by duplicating all of the video content frames by frame within versions of their titles. Carson said that this technology is unique in the industry, as it allows for titles by versions natively in a system.
Ateliere is also featuring new capabilities in forecasting usage trends and helping customers prioritise jobs automatically based on due dates. These advancements are expected to make the media supply chain more efficient. Moreover, the company is looking into ways to make templates simpler to configure with the help of artificial intelligence or machine learning.
The company aims to make the media supply chain even easier to operate, particularly when there is a need for operator mission, review, approval, and manual QC. "We want to continue to work on how we make people's lives easier and get more media out with the same amount of individuals," Carson said.
