Emotion Systems CEO MC Patel showcased the company's audio processing tool for content delivery at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show 2023 in Las Vegas. The product allows for up-mixing stereo and pipeline one content to immersive and vice versa, making it ideal for live sports coverage in Atmos.
The tool also automates the process, making it cost-effective for volume content processing. "As we come out of the COVID event, a lot of people want to travel, they need face-to-face. And so we're seeing a lot of interesting and impressive audio, and we're excited to showcase our product here at the NAB Show," Patel said in an interview with Asia-Pacific Broadcasting+.
The product adds value by up-mixing stereo audio, ensuring that commercials sound good in live sports coverage, and also saving customers’ money. Patel emphasised that the quality of the product's output is carefully managed and maintained. "It's changed in the sense that we are relying an awful lot on Zoom meetings and One to One meetings but online, and the other thing that we've tried to do is we've tried to become much more educational in our approach to them," he said.
The NAB Show is an annual trade show produced by the National Association of Broadcasters and showcases the latest in media, entertainment, and technology. The event was held in Las Vegas from April 18-21. Emotion Systems is a UK-based firm that specialises in delivering media processing tools for broadcasters and content providers worldwide.
