The Dante AV 4K-T and Dante AV 4K-R enable the integration of SDI HDMI 4K video into a Dante AV network, utilizing the highly efficient JPEG 2000 codec. This codec ensures visually lossless compression, delivering superior 4K picture quality. Hoo explained the ease of use and flexibility provided by the Dante AV system. “With Dante AV, you can transport video to any location on the same network as long as you have a Dante system in place,” he said. This capability makes it ideal for seamless video distribution in environments where video content needs to be shared across multiple endpoints simultaneously. When asked about the target audience for these new products, Judith Han, Sales Director at AJA, highlighted the company’s focus on existing Dante system users.
“We are targeting customers who already have a Dante system in place because it seamlessly integrates with their existing infrastructure,” Han explained. Furthermore, she emphasized the suitability of the Dante AV products for large and medium-sized venues, citing live sports events, convention centers, and concerts as prime examples. Scalability was another key aspect discussed during the interview. Han and Hoo confirmed that the Dante AV system is highly scalable due to its network-based architecture. Adding more devices to the network enables seamless routing of video signals to multiple destinations simultaneously.
