It is dubbed as the latest generation of its predecessor.
The manufacturer responsible for bringing QxP to the market –a portable waveform monitor power with battery power of 25G ST 2110 and 12G-SDI, is launching a refreshed model of the QxL.
Taking the class-leading features and flexibility of its predecessor QxL Rasterizer, the QxP now comes with an integrated 3U multitouch LCD screen. It also comes with a V-Mount and G-Mount battery plate, a PSU main, and a 12v external DC input for more specific needs in the market.
In an interview during the BroadcastAsia 2023 event hosted by APB+, Phabrix’s Senior Vice President for Sales and Operation Martin Mulligan said that the QxP inherited all the good aspects of the QxL, making it a much-improved version of the device.
“Phabrix is well-known for his handheld devices. [In] the latest generation, we’ve moved on to the Phabrix QxL which provides 12 Gig SDI and 25 Gig IP. Then, what we’ve done is we’ve taken the QxL and all of the tools and capabilities, and put it into a portable platform, the QxP,” he explained.
“So, the QxP, inherits not just all of the toolset and capabilities, but also as the ability to support camera batteries, this normal V mount or G mount battery. [Now,] everything is touch-control. I can move it around. If I want to zoom in, I can double tap… so you get all the benefits of touch,” he added.
The QxP comes with buttons that can help in navigation and can be enabled to provide for a chat encoder. On top of this, the pricing is set at a competitive rate.
“What is the SP of this? It is [not just] versatility and portability, but also [can be an] IP base unit at a fantastic price point for emerging IP opportunities that you have. Then, SDI can be added as an option, as well as physical layer analysis,” he said.
Based on QxP’s briefer, the product supports simultaneous analysis and generation of HD, UHD, 3G, and EUHD 2110 payloads on SFP28/25 GbE interfaces. This is made possible with the ST 2022-7 Seamless IP Protection Switching (SIPS) feature of the QxP. It also provides for independent PTP followers on media ports which allows for an operation of a redundant media network.
As for the physical look of the device, it proves to be portable as it comes with a 7-inch LCD Touch Screen with a dimension of 1920 x 1200.Up to 16 instruments may be configured with the device in various sizes.
Phabrix highlights that by plugging the device in an external HDMI monitor, the experience will be comparative to that of conventional Rasterizer.
Since its launch in 2005, Phabrix has been in operation to further improve customer experience with the many operations.
It seeks to keep up with the rapid development of the market with its Qx Series by offering advanced toolsets and providing for more support in the market.
