The bustling halls of the 2023 International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) were brimming with innovation. But even in such an environment, Ross Video’s booth was an unmistakable beacon of advanced technology. If you attended the National Association of Broadcasters event earlier this year, the layout might’ve felt familiar – Ross Video maintained its reputation of large-scale showcases.
Amid the ebb and flow of attendees, we had a chance to chat with Simon Roehrs, the Asia Pacific Sales Director for Ross Video. With an air of pride, Simon, based in sunny Singapore, spoke about the firm’s current growth spurt. “Sure, North America is our stalwart market. But Europe? It’s a close second. That’s why we’ve gone big at IBC,” he explained.
This year’s IBC appeared busier than ever. Simon noted, “I remember the 90,000 attendees last year. This year feels even busier. A testament to the industry’s growth and Ross Video’s pivotal role in it.”
The real star, among the slew of gadgets and tech Ross Video unveiled, was the XR Studio. Simon, with a twinkle in his eye, said, “Imagine high-definition D3 LEDs merging with our state-of-the-art Voyager system. The XR Studio is not just a product; it’s an experience.”
On being quizzed about the crowd’s favorite, Simon instantly pointed towards the XR Studio. “Every hour, we have presentations showcasing its capabilities, and the audience just can’t get enough.”
In the fast-paced tech landscape, competition is a given. But Ross Video isn’t one to back down. Simon commented, “Look, everyone’s got something. But what we have at Ross Video is, I believe, a notch above the rest.”
However, the true Ross Video essence is more than just their stellar products. It’s about the relationships they cultivate. Simon passionately added, “We don’t just make a sale. We onboard our clients onto the ‘Ross Journey.’ We’re talking about a decade-long commitment, if not more.”
IBC 2023 reiterated what many in the industry know – Ross Video isn’t just participating in the future of broadcasting; they’re actively shaping it.
