IHSE unveils new DMS bundles to enhance KVM solutions

IHSE has launched its new Display Management System (DMS) product bundles, specifically designed for fixed-sized keyboard, video, mouse (KVM) matrix systems. This release expands the company’s Draco Flex series, catering to midrange control rooms, production environments, and training centres.
The DMS product line consolidates advanced control management software, USB-HID support for keyboard and mouse, and computability with either HDMI or DisplayPort video into a single package. Offered in configurations ranging from 4×4 to 16×16, the DMS bundles include the KVM matrix switch, a complete set of extenders, and the Draco tera tool software for streamline system management under one part number.
Dan Holland, Marketing Manager at IHSE USA, said, “It can take a significant amount of time in the product design process to create an a la carte configuration, but with the acceleration of competitive high-end KVM DMS, it is imperative for manufacturers to help customers find what they are looking for in the fastest and easiest way possible.
“Our new KVM DMS bundles significantly reduce the number of products and information a customer must plan for. Using one simple part number, they can order the perfect mix of KVM extenders and matrix switches to suit their system configuration.”
The DMS features Flex-Port technology, allowing users to configure each matrix port as either an input or output. The setup process is intuitive; inputs and outputs are configured automatically, enabling users to make informed design choices.
A 16×16 system can be commissioned in less than half a day, IHSE claimed, optimising setup with predefined ID tags and eliminating the need for IP addressing.
Moreover, the DMS incorporates features typically found in larger matrix systems, such as dual Ethernet ports for redundancy and dual power supplies, all within a 1RU chassis. The integrated EDID management tool allows administrators to manage display settings, ensuring compatibility across various devices.
Holland emphasised the versatility of the DMS bundles and concluded, “The flexibility of adding a DMS bundle to any pro-AV environment provides enhanced capabilities to a wide range of users. Training centres, eSports production rooms, government control rooms, audio mixing rooms, medical centres, and network operating centres are facilities that would benefit from the DMS bundle.”
