Ateliere Creative Technologies greatly enhanced live production with new API

Ateliere Creative Technologies has announced the release of a new application programming interface (API) for Ateliere Live, its cloud-native software designed to streamline workflows for live broadcasts, including sports, reality shows, game shows, and news.

Harnessing the power of NVIDIA GPU processing and encoding, Ateliere Live leverages internet-based time synchronisation to introduce distributed live-proxy vision mixing, which enhances cost efficiency and sustainability for both on-premise and remote productions.

“Ateliere is committed to offering our clients the flexibility they need to scale and innovate their workflows,” said Andy Hooper, Senior Vice-President of Live Products at Ateliere.

“Our robust public API enables seamless integration with technology partners, providing customers with the freedom to choose best-in-class solutions tailored to their needs, all while pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in live production.”

Among the first integrations with Ateliere Live’s API is Cuez, an all-in-one rundown solution that facilitates collaborative editing, automated cueing, and prompting. Cuez’s platform allows control over studio software, hardware, and media assets from a centralised interface, supporting real-time, remote collaboration and last-minute adjustments.

Another significant integration is with Singular.live, a provider of live broadcast graphics solutions. Singular.live has natively integrated into Ateliere Live’s proxy vision mixing feature, enabling parallel graphics overlays on both high-quality and low-latency pipelines.

Megaphone TV, an interactive sponsorship platform for live content, has also joined the Ateliere Live ecosystem. Their HTML5 interactive tools now enhance audience participation and sponsorship opportunities within live productions.

Jan De Wever, Solutions Manager & Automator Specialists at Cuez, commented, “We’ve had a great experience collaborating with Ateliere Creative Technologies, thanks to their flexibility and support during our integration process.

“Their well-documented, intuitive API provided the control and feedback we needed to build the integration seamlessly. Together, Ateliere and Cuez now deliver a fully integrated, cloud-based solution that enables broadcast-quality productions to be created entirely remotely.”

The partnership between Cuez and Ateliere Live is especially suited for live productions centred around scheduled rundowns. Broadcasters and production companies can now deliver high-quality events while remaining agile to adapt to rapid changes, said Ateliere.
