VIDA to launch AI-powered workflow engine to reshape media operations

In a move poised to reshape how media companies manage their content supply chains, VIDA is set to launch Media Factory, a new drag-and-drop workflow automation engine. Debuting at IBC 2025, the platform is designed to empower media, broadcast, and technology teams to build, test, and deploy complex workflows in hours rather than weeks.
Integrated directly into VIDA’s secure, cloud-native media asset management (MAM) platform, Media Factory aims to put intelligent automation in the hands of operational teams. The platform features over 300 pre-built connectors, including support for leading AI agents, enabling users to create and customise workflows without relying on extensive software development.
Symon Roue, Managing Director, VIDA, said, “VIDA Media Factor is about giving teams the tools to connect content, configure any workflow, and integrate with any business system. By harnessing the power of agentic AI, teams can automate business processes from routine tasks to entirely new operational models, removing the friction that slows people and content down.”
At a time when media companies are being asked to do more with less — delivering to more platforms, meeting tighter deadlines, and adopting new technologies like AI — Media Factor offers a visual, intuitive interface for automating a wide range of tasks.
The platform enables both users and AI models to orchestrate actions, such as automating AI tagging, transcription, translation, and metadata packaging. It can also perform automated quality control (AQC) and compliance checks, flagging age-inappropriate content.
For delivery, it facilitates trigger-based distribution to notifications via Slack or email, and integrates with existing systems. Workflows can be triggered by scheduled events, webhooks, or changes at the asset or file level. The platform also supports the addition of custom connectors, enabling enterprise-wide automation across various areas, including rights management, analytics, and marketing.Media Factory will be available to VIDA’s enterprise customers and partners starting September 2025. The company will be demonstrating the new platform on stand 5.D50 at IBC 2025, which is taking place from September 12-25 at the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre.
