At the recent 2018 NAB Show, the company highlighted new IP processors, standalone gateways and multiviewers

To provide its support for 4K/Ultra HD (UHD) IP production, Embrionix showcased a range of new core IP processing and gateway solutions at 2018 NAB Show.

This included the 1RU emMODULAR-48-8 aggregation/processing frame, designed to move 4K/UHD signals over a 25GE network. The emMODULAR’s compact 1RU frame, said Embrionix, offers more than twice the density of other available solutions, and supports up to 80 x 4K/UHD, or 96 x 36 miniaturised Embrionix gateways.

By efficiently and reliably aggregating and processing IP flows to/from two redundant core switches, the low-weight, low-footprint emMODULAR is ideal for production trucks, added Embrionix, and enables IP clean switching of any IP signal from one source to another.

The company also unveiled its emVIEW-U-DMI, which offers a compact form factor that installs directly on the back of an HDMI monitor and features frame sync, audio shuffling at the edge, support for 4K/UHD and “hitness redundancy”.

The emVIEW-U-DMI makes the most of a 25GE pipe by providing two distinct HDMI outputs to monitors, and is capable of receiving any type of senders, whether narrow or wide profile.

Renaud Lavoie, president of Embrionix, said: “Embrionix is well established as a provider of innovative processors and gateways for IP broadcast production. As a company, we are committed to providing our clients with high-quality solutions that evolve and futureproof their IP infrastructures while helping them shrink overall costs.”

Another product the company highlighted at the show was its emFUSION-6, a compact standalone gateway that permits control of up to five camera feeds and signal return over a single fibre link. The device also allows for remote control of camera pan/zoom/tilt parameters and includes two aggregation ports that can be used for link redundancy.
