The company’s new KVM-over-IP solution can function as an extender/receiver set and as a matrix

Apantac will be demonstrating its line of keyboard, video, mouse (KVM) over IP extenders and matrices.

This second-generation KVM-over-IP extender/receiver set is designed for applications where multiple local computers need to be accessed from multiple remote locations. When utilised as extenders/receivers, the KVM-over-IP solutions provide point-to-point extension of HDMI, DVI, or analogue VGA over CATx.

For point-to-point distribution, the signals can be extended up to 170m, and up to 100m when the devices are connected to a GigE switch. The receiver is equipped with four USB ports, allowing users to connect to other devices such as a touchscreen interface or a flash drive, in addition to a keyboard and a mouse.

When functioning as a KVM-over-IP matrix, the unit provides one-to-many or many-to-many console to server access, allowing for monitoring and control. Users can have concurrent access to a server from several remote consoles, as well as from the local console. Server selection can be accomplished with configurable hotkeys from a console keyboard or through the management software.

Apantac will be exhibiting at booth 8.E37 during IBC2018, which will be held from September 13-18 at the RAI Convention Centre in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
