Joining Lynx Technik as CEO is Stefan Gnann, who will be responsible for driving the company’s product development and market share leadership

Stefan Gnann has been appointed as the new CEO of Lynx Technik.

Gnann outlined his vision for Lynx Technik, and said: “One of my key roles here at Lynx, backed by our exceptional global team, will be to drive product development and market share leadership to meet both the short- and long-term demands of our production, post-production, contribution, and content distribution customers.”

Throughout Gnann’s career in the media and entertainment technology industry, he has served in many leadership roles, helping drive financial growth, develop new production processes, and facilitate the development and launch of new products and projects.

For instance, during his tenure as managing director at VTS Videotechnik Selhuber, he was involved in building the company into a systems integrator and technology provider. He also directed the merger between VTS with sono Studiotechnik to form sonoVTS.

Additionally, Gnann has been focusing on the developments of 4K/Ultra HD (UHD) and IP technologies. His work with broadcasters and standard groups has involved coordinated efforts to generate new enhanced methods and approaches for broadcasters to make a “smooth” transition to IP sports and event production, as well as IP studio applications.

Welcoming Gnann to the Lynx Technik team, Winfried Deckelmann, chairman of the supervisory board and former CEO of Lynx Technik, said: “Stefan has a clear passion for technology and innovation, and is an excellent fit to lead our team and achieve the vision of Lynx Technik.

“We have maintained a strong relationship with Stefan over the years, and his input as a customer and partner has been influential in a number of our key product developments.”
