Actus promises its AI-powered X will make broadcast engineers lives easier

Calling it the future of intelligent broadcast monitoring and compliance logging, Actus Digital is unveiling Actus X at NAB 2025.

According to Actus, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, Actus X represents a major leap forward in the Actus MV multiviewer, significant advances in the company’s compliance logging and quality assurance tools, and exciting new capabilities for artificial intelligence (AI) content analysis within Actus AI Media Insight.

Ken Rubin, Senior VP, Americas, Actus, explained, “Actus X is the culmination of two decades of innovation in technical monitoring and compliance logging, delivering a comprehensive easy-to-use tool focused on making the lives of broadcast engineers easier.”

At booth SL 3307, visitors can check out the features of Actus X, including next-generation QA compliance logging. Alerts can now be categorised into Problems, Errors, Quality of Experience (QoE), and Quality of Service (QoS) issues, with dynamically adjusting notification workflows for more precise control and improved QA.

Advanced multiviewer capabilities brings reduced latency and expanded data-overlay options, including SCTE trigger details, Nielsen SID data, and TS analysis. These enhancements, says Actus, complement its capable list of existing features, such as round-robin channel-cycling and penalty-box reporting.

AI-powered media insights also allow Actus X to deliver powerful content monitoring capabilities that expand the capabilities of the system to news teams. It can rapidly extract valuable insights from programming aired on local/international news as well as direct-camera feeds, enabling users to identify, summarise, and highlight breaking news and developing stories.Find out more about what Actus X can offer for you at NAB 2025, which is taking place at the Las Vegas Convention Centre from April 5 to 9.
