Adder Technology adds ALIF100T to KVM range

Rack and cost savings are key considerations when developing the ADDERLink Infinity 100T, said Adder Technology

Adder Technology, a KVM (keyboard, video, mouse) solutions provider, has launched the ADDERLink Infinity 100T (ALIF100T).

As the newest member to the ADDERLink Infinity range, the ALIF100T is designed as an IP-based, USB-powered KVM transmitter, and can be plugged directly into any computer. For instance, the transmitter can be hung from the back of the source, and can be retrofitted into existing infrastructure, thus not taking up any unit space if rack-mounted, according to Adder.

In addition, the ALIF100T is designed to reduce power consumption by using only 2W, which ensures less heat is generated and less cooling is required, therefore reducing costs.

John Halksworth, senior product manager, Adder Technology, said: “[ALIF100T] is attractive to organisations that are looking to upgrade or update their current KVM systems with the ADDERLink Infinity range but are hindered by the lack of space or the cost of redesigning their current infrastructure.

“Retrofitting high performance KVM into environments designed around legacy, outdated equipment is challenging and expensive, sometimes requiring a complete redesign. However, with the new transmitter, businesses can easily and cost-effectively take advantage of the ADDERLink Infinity solution without this costly step.”

ALIF100T is compatible with the ADDERLink Infinity Manager (A.I.M.) and ADDERLink Infinity receivers. Adder will commence shipping of the ALIF100T this March.
