AI-powered Viz One 8.1 boosts media management efficiency

Vizrt has launched Viz One 8.1, the latest iteration of its media asset management (MAM) system, featuring AI-driven enhancements that speed and enhance intelligence, as well as improve accuracy for broadcasters and content owners.

In an era where media teams are under pressure to deliver more content across multiple platforms, traditional workflows are struggling to keep pace with the growing volume of raw footages and the time-intensive processes of manual logging and archive research. Viz One 8.1 addresses these challenges by integrating aiconix’s DeepVA sovereign AI platform, automating key stages of media management and transforming workflows from manual operations to faster, more precise media handling.

The integration brings AI-powered visual recognition to Viz One 8.1, allowing users to locate the right content within seconds. The system automatically identifies and tags faces, objects, and scenes, including through trainable custom models. AI-generated metadata replaces the need for manual logging, enabling teams to review AI-tagged content, train models for previously unidentified entities, and conduct optional quality checks.

According to Vizrt, these AI capabilities can deliver up to 50% greater logging accuracy, 10 times faster logging workflows, and five times quicker search and discovery. This efficiency not only streamlines content management but also unlocks new opportunities for content reuse, compliance, and monetisation.

Esther Arroyo, CMO, aiconix, said, “Content creators need AI that works for their specific needs, not a one-size-fits-all solution.

“DeepVA’s ability to train custom models and generate structured, machine-readable metadata ensures Viz One customers can optimise their workflows and deliver more relevant, localised content to their audiences.”

Viz One 8.1 leverages a containerised architecture, enabling scalability across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments. DeepVA’s AI services are securely deployed within each environment, ensuring sensitive data remains protected while benefitting from intelligent automation.

“Viz One 8.1 is the next step in our long-term vision to accelerate efficiencies,” said Jochen Bergdolt, Head of MAM, Vizrt. “By combining Viz One’s proven reliability with intelligent automation, we’re giving customers the tools to work smarter today — and build stronger media operations for tomorrow.”
