Aqua Broadcast’s Cobalt Series Transmitters: Advancing FM Broadcasting and Nurturing Customer Relationships

During an interview at the BroadcastAsia Show 2023 in Singapore, Brandon Lofty, the Business Development Manager of Aqua Broadcast, shared insights about their latest products and the company’s focus on building relationships with customers. Lofty highlighted the introduction of their new FM transmitter, the Cobalt series, in the European and US markets. The series offers a range of transmitters, starting from 10 Watts and going up to five kilowatts.

Lofty specifically showcased a one kilowatt transmitter that includes a DDS exciter, audio encoder, audio processor, single frequency network, and supports full HTTPS and SNMP. These features cater to the needs of broadcasters, aligning with new licensing requirements. The design of the transmitters is modern, compact, and lightweight, incorporating a Linux operating system. Aqua Broadcast has revamped the traditional controls and architecture of transmitters, allowing them to introduce more features for free. Additionally, they will be offering a variety of options throughout the year, including the exciting Dante AES67 input and a GPS card for single frequency network.

The interviewee pointed out the cobalt range, indicated by the blue collar on the displayed transmitter. He explained that the Cobalt range is the company’s primary offering, providing a more budget-friendly option without compromising durability and performance. Later in the year, Aqua Broadcast plans to introduce the Arctic audio processor range, which will also utilize a Linux system, ensuring flexibility and the ability to incorporate new features and functionalities at an affordable price point.
