Ateme, global provider of video compression, delivery and streaming solutions, has announced that it has powered contribution for NT, a tier-one telecommunications operator in Thailand, at numerous sports events throughout Asia and beyond over the last two years.

Thanks to the Ateme KYRION contribution encoders, NT has significantly improved video quality at low latency, enhancing the experience of audiences in Thailand.

Ateme’s KYRION solution has been instrumental in delivering high-quality video content to Thai audiences for various prestigious sporting events, including the 19 Asian Games Hangzhou 2023, the Qatar World Cup 2022, the 2021 Japan Olympics, The South-East Asian Games in Vietnam 2021 and Cambodia 2023, the 2020 football European Championship, and the Thai Football League.

Offering comprehensive contribution services, NT facilitates the delivery of content from these events, ensuring a “seamless and robust connection” that serves Thai broadcasters and service providers. Known for its robustness, lightweight design, and compact nature, Ateme KYRION encoders have proved to be exceptionally transportable for live events.

Duc Long Nguyen, Sales Director at Ateme, said, “Demand is growing for high-quality sports content in Thailand. This encompasses a wider variety of sports as well as a bigger fan base, with more and more female enthusiasts.

“We are thrilled to be helping NT meet the evolving needs of the market by contributing high-quality content at very low latency.”

Weeradej Seangudomchai, Director of Broadcast Department at NT, added, “We needed a solution that was robust and high-quality, yet also practical to carry around to the events. Ateme’s KYRION solution fits the bill, enhancing our capabilities to serve not only our own subscribers, but also other broadcasters and service providers in the region.”
