The Asia
Video Industry Association (AVIA) has attracted a number of new members since
the beginning of 2021, including Amobee, Dolby, Integral Ad Science, iWedia, KC
Global Media, Mediacorp and Vuulr; and in late 2020, it recruited Akamai and
Vidio.
The
association announced that it is considering organising physical events that
will bring people together safely. One such possibility is the organisation of
meals in Singapore for eight people at a time, the maximum currently allowed by
the government.
AVIA will
also be organising an AVIA Tech Series focussing on how technology is shaping
the development of the video industry. It further announced the release of a matrix
wallchart that provides summarised details of pay-TV policies across Asia.
Evolved from
CASBAA in 2018, AVIA interacts with governments across the region on behalf of its
members, leads the fight against video piracy and provides insight into the video
industry through reports and conferences aimed at building a vibrant video
industry.
