Bitmovin making its Agentic AI Hub solutions available to developers

Bitmovin has launched the Bitmovin Agentic AI Hub platform, which unites Bitmovin’s products to deliver agentic AI services for workflow automation and enhanced viewer experiences.

The Bitmovin Agentic AI Hub introduces Bitmovin’s Observability MCP and three agentic solutions: Vertical Short Form Clipping, Voice Operated Seeking, and Summarisation Companion.

Each solution is powered by an intelligent AI agent that leverages insights from Bitmovin’s AI Scene Analysis, VOD Encoding, and Bitmovin Player to analyse, act, and automate video workflows.

With Vertical Short Form Clipping, video providers can use natural-language prompts to automatically generate short-form clips at scale. The tool detects highlights, reframes for vertical screens, and preserves key action with subject-aware cropping.

Processed by Bitmovin’s VOD Encoder, which is optimised for short form use cases, clips are ready for rapid distribution across platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. This, says Bitmovin, empowers video providers to reach wider audiences and drive engagement with long-form content.

The Voice Operated Seeking feature allows viewers to interact with video content naturally using voice commands. Instead of manually scrolling through a timeline in Bitmovin’s Player, viewers can say phrases like “replay the car chase scene” or “jump to the interview.” This innovative AI capability transforms how audiences engage with content, offering an interrupted and intuitive viewing experience.

The Summarisation Companion builds on Bitmovin’s scene-seeking technology, allowing streaming services to offer personalised summaries or quick catchups on demand. Viewers can request summaries or learn more about a character using simple verbal prompts such as “what did I miss?” or “who is this character?”, all without leaving the stream.
