Black Box streamlines control rooms with scalable IP-based solutions

At IBC 2025, Black Box will demonstrate the continued evolution of its Emerald IP-based control solution, with powerful new features designed to streamline control room operations, support virtual and hybrid workflows, and simplify system integration.
The Black Box Emerald IP keyboard, video, and mouse (KVM) solution serves as an infinitely scalable universal access system, giving users the flexibility to connect to both physical and virtual machines, along with anywhere, anytime IP access over an existing IP network, WAN, or even the internet.
Advanced security and minimal bandwidth consumption enable new ways of configuring control room infrastructure for maximum expandability, incorporating local and remote users with simplified workflows, and mastering distributed control rooms. Interoperability between 4K and HD video and one-touch control room setups combine with a high degree of automation through Emerald’s APIs to give users valuable flexibility and ease of use.
John Hickey, Senior Director of R&D & KVM Systems, Black Box, said, “The Emerald platform continues to evolve to meet the needs of today’s remote and high-performance workflows.
“Visitors to our booth will see the latest advancements in the Emerald DESKVUE receiver, now powering multiview video walls and supporting both LCD and LED display technologies, as well as our newly expanded Remote App, which now includes an industry-first macOS version for remote access without hardware.
“These solutions give professionals in broadcast, post production, Pro AV, and other demanding environments the flexibility, security, and control they need to work smarter and more efficiently.”To learn more, visit stand 10.A27 at IBC 2025, which is taking place from September 12-15 at the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre.
