Broadpeak is powering StarHub’s newly launched TV+ converged
IPTV and OTT TV services in Singapore. Using a suite of CDN, content packaging,
storage and origination solutions from Broadpeak, StarHub is able to deliver
OTT live TV and VoD content on all screens, with reduced OTT playback latency
and buffering.

"The primary goals of revamping our OTT platform were to
deliver better quality, and to offer more services and advanced features such
as start-over and instant availability of 24-hour time-shift TV for our
customers," said Ong Bee Lian, Vice President, Interactive TV and Media
Engineering, StarHub. "Broadpeak provides us with a flexible and
future-proof solution with real-time packaging that delivers substantial
storage savings, allowing for a smoother viewing experience."

Broadpeak's CDN solution optimises bandwidth use, reducing
StarHub's overall content delivery costs. The StarHub TV+ service also uses
Broadpeak's BkS350 Origin Packager to securely deliver live, time-shifted and VoD
services to any device. Combining an on-demand packaging feature with a
built-in cache mechanism, the BkS350 Origin Packager reduces the need for
encoding and storage resources while providing StarHub with a high-throughput
capacity to generate additional cost savings.

"We are thrilled to partner with StarHub and give its
converged StarHub TV+ service a brand-new look, including the capability to
turn back the clock up to 24 hours and watch live TV shows with time-shift
TV," said Jacques Le Mancq, CEO of Broadpeak. "While delivering
high-quality video and advanced features is critical today, efficiency is just
as important. Our content delivery solutions set the standard for QoE and
bandwidth optimisation, with ultra-low latency for increased subscriber
satisfaction."
