Brompton Technology, a leading provider of video processing solutions, unveiled its latest innovation, the TrueLight feature, at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show 2023 in Las Vegas. The technology is designed to improve colour rendering in virtual production using panels with a resolution of four meters per pixel.
TrueLight is a fully calibrated, dynamic system that allows users to make practical use of their LED panels, making it unique in the market. Other products in the market do not have calibration, making TrueLight stand out from the crowd. The Hydro system developed by Brompton Technology also ensures that the panels are fully calibrated, providing accurate colour cover whilst also improving the quality of light, resulting in better colour rendering.
Adrian Jeakin, Director of Engineering at Brompton Technology, expressed his excitement about the positive response they received from visitors during the show. He said, "It's been a great show. It's been busy. And we have a lot of people come by the booth. But a very, very positive reaction to our new products and features we've been showing and kind it's been a great show."
"At Brompton, our ethos is really quality. So if you want to get the best out of your LED, you need Brompton Processing."
TrueLight is expected to make virtual productions more lifelike and realistic by improving colour rendering. Jeakin shared that customers who tried out the feature have given positive feedback, and the company is excited to see its potential in the industry.
"It's really exciting to see this technology being adopted and used by so many people in the industry. We believe that TrueLight has the potential to transform the way virtual productions are done," he said.
Brompton Technology's TrueLight is now available for customers interested in improving their LED colour rendering for virtual productions. The company showcased the technology at the NAB Show 2023 in Las Vegas from April 24 to 27.
