Caton Technology Asia Pte Ltd honoured at Asia-Pacific Broadcasting+ Awards 2025

The company was commended for its AI-powered IP broadcast solution, which earned the IP Broadcast Solutions – Singapore award.
Caton Technology Asia Pte Ltd has been honoured at the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting+ Awards 2025, winning in the IP Broadcast Solutions category for its flagship platform, Caton Media XStream (CMXS). This win underscores Caton’s role as a pioneer in next-generation video transport, delivering transformative solutions that address long-standing challenges in live broadcast transmission.
Caton Media XStream (CMXS) is an AI-powered IP broadcast solution that resolves the core issues associated with traditional methods—namely leased lines, satellite transmission, and widely used IP transport protocols that struggle with congestion, packet loss, and ISP routing biases. CMXS reimagines the way content is delivered by combining several critical innovations:
AI Smart Routing uses machine learning and real-time data to continuously optimise transmission paths for speed, stability, and resilience.
A distributed cloud architecture and global meshed network of Points of Presence (PoPs) to bypass ISP bottlenecks and ensure stable, low-latency delivery.
Lastly, a Network Performance Monitoring and Diagnostics (NPMD) layer offers broadcasters complete visibility of the network and video streams with real-time insights, historical analytics, and predictive failure detection.
This robust architecture has been successfully deployed in some of the world’s most high-profile live broadcasts.
During the Paris Olympics 2024, CMXS enabled 16 HD feeds from Paris to Hong Kong (HOY TV) over the public internet. It delivered an SLA-backed 99.9999% reliability, with zero CC errors, whilst reducing transmission costs by 60% compared to leased lines.
For the FIBA 3X3 World Tour, CMXS powered seamless live sports coverage in Taiwan in partnership with DAZN, maintaining uninterrupted connectivity through intelligent, AI-driven routing that overcame dynamic network conditions.
CMXS also supports Major League Baseball (MLB) broadcasts in Taiwan, delivering consistent low-latency, high-bitrate live streams and reinforcing a five-season partnership with leading regional broadcasters.
Broadcasters using CMXS report significant operational gains, including faster deployment, scalable cloud-based workflows, and improved viewer engagement, thanks to the platform’s resilience and performance stability.
As it continues focusing on AI-driven innovation and cloud-based infrastructure, Caton is transforming the future of broadcast transmission.
