Chyron PAINT 10.2 brings IP workflows and broadcast-ready branding

Chyron has released PAINT 10.2, an update to its telestration platform. Equipped with SMPTE 2110 IP workflow support, PAINT 10.2 offers expanded branding automation and refined telestration tools designed for maximum efficiency in fast-paced sports production environments.
With this release, PAINT continues to evolve into a truly unified solution for illustrated replay, tactical breakdowns and live broadcast graphics.
Andreas Olsson, Product Manager for PAINT, Chyron, said, “With PAINT 10.2, we’re building for the future of broadcast – one where flexible IP-based workflows and smarter automation are the standard, all in an out-of-the-box, single-system solution with no third-party hardware required.
“Whether in a truck or a control room, operators now have sharper tools, more robust calibration workflows and ease of use out of the box, and fluid brand integration.”
The release introduces support for SMPTE 2110 IP, enabling ingest and output of uncompressed video-over-IP. With this future-proof capability, PAINT integrates into modern broadcast infrastructures. By supporting SDI and IP environments, PAINT gives broadcasters the flexibility to operate across traditional and next-generation workflows.
Building on an operator-friendly focus, telestration in PAINT is more polished and brand-ready. Operators can assign individual shadow effects to each tool, allowing cleaner and more deliberate visuals across different elements. Cursors can be customised with team logos or sponsor branding, providing instant, on-brand graphics with every annotation.
With the introduction of the “shine” graphics package, PAINT adds another pre-built style, joining simple, glass and neon, delivering a sleek, professional look without the need for extensive design work.
Operators now have access to a home/away selector that automates logo, colour, and styling assignments, making it easy to set up and quickly switch between home and away branding. Combined with VaultSync, this ensures graphics are accurate, consistent, and instantly updated based on the match context.
PAINT 10.2 gives broadcasters the tools they need to move faster, work smarter, and deliver cleaner, more consistent visuals. With IP video support, improved calibration, and smarter branding features, Chyron says it is a step forward for live sports production, built for today’s demands and tomorrow’s workflows.
