COBALT INDIGO Brings Quad-Channel Bi-Directional 2110 Gateway to openGear®
The new COBALT INDIGO OG-2110-BIDI4-GATEWAY is a quad-channel bi-directional gateway available in the openGear® form factor. This gateway circumvents the error-prone and expensive need for multiple devices in the data path. Redundant 25G Ethernet interfaces and a complete native ST 2110 stack (including NMOS IS 04/05) provide for an easy-to-manage, fully integrated and cost-effective solution. Cobalt also offers the SMPTE ST 2110 interface as an add-on to COBALT’S 9905-MPx or 9904-UDX-4K very popular openGear processing cards with the simple addition of the INDIGO 2110-DC-01 daughter-card option.
For the first time at NAB 2024, in Booth SU 4027, Cobalt will be showing its COBALT PACIFIC 9992-ENC-INDIGO with SMPTE ST-2110 integrated support hardware to provide a ST 2110 input option on this software defined, upgradable encoder.

The growing COBALT SAPPHIRE converter family is available in BBG standalone units and in openGear® card formats.
The mini converters – now IPMX compatible – brings IP to a world of Pro AV applications. They will be demonstrated at NAB 2024 in several different configurations. Designed to be mounted behind a monitor, the mini converters address the need to display received ST 2110/JPEG-XS content on HDMI monitors in a simple and cost-effective manner. Models include:

If openGear suits your facility, COBALT SAPPHIRE will suit your needs. SAPPHIRE converters provide conversion between HDMI/SDI and SDI/HDMI in openGear format. Each unit has per-channel frame syncs and provides independent paths of true 12G/3G and HD conversions from HDMI to SMPTE formats, or from SMPTE to HDMI. Each path is equipped with full input and output audio crosspoints and optional per-path color correction and scalers. Input and output HDMI and SDI crosspoints allow program sourcing and distribution across the HDMI/SDI inputs and SDI/HDMI outputs.

The COBALT SAPPHIRE BIDI-2H2S is a dual channel bidirectional converter. Each channel can be independently configured to have either SDI or HDMI inputs and each channel has simultaneous SDI and HDMI outputs. This provides input and output options with independent paths of true 3G and HD conversions to and from all the SD-SDI, HD-SDI and 3G-SDI formats and HDMI.
