COBALT® PACIFIC encoders and decoders 

The COBALT® PACIFIC broadcast-grade, software-defined encoders and decoders meet the stringent requirements of today’s broadcasters. Modules range from single to multiple channel units, support existing MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 AVC, and are upgradable to HEVC video encoding technology for dramatic compression efficiency. Offered in openGear® form factor, PACIFIC provides a path to state-of-the-art encoding and decoding.

COBALT® SAPPHIRE converters  

COBALT® SAPPHIRE converters bring world-class conversion to any application, from broadcast to Pro AV. SAPPHIRE converters are available as openGear® cards for racks, or as Blue Box Group (BBG) mini converters offering high-quality design, function, and reliability – perfect for on-the-go productions. The SAPPHIRE converters provide conversion between 12G baseband or IP content and HDMI/SDI or HDMI/SDI and SDI/HDMI. 

COBALT® WAVE routers

COBALT® WAVE high-density routers offer flexibility, ease-of-use and are easily integrated into any variety of applications with support for signals up to 12G-SDI. The 32×32 or 64×64 compact, crosspoint routers are contained within a 4U frame. Control is accomplished by Cobalt’s growing line of control panels offered in several variations to fit any space and budget.

COBALT® ARIA DANTE openGear card

The COBALT ARIA AUD4-DANTE is a quad-channel openGear card with up to 12G DANTE/AES/MADI/Embed and De-Embed functions. The card features two gigabit Ethernet ports, a 64×64 configuration, a full audio router mixer, and frame sync capabilities. 

COBALT® UltraBlue multiviewers
COBALT UltraBlue IP-MV multiviewers run on a standard PC platform, feature an intuitive web interface, and are designed to grow with a customer’s needs by incorporating support for compressed and baseband (ST 2110 and/or SDI) inputs and outputs. UltraBlue IP-MV can receive audio/video over IP in a variety of protocols and formats with very flexible audio routing. Mosaic configurations are a snap with graphic overlays, ancillary data, and tallies.

COBALT® INDIGO ST 2110 options 

The Cobalt INDIGO OG-2110-BIDI4-GATEWAY has native SMPTE ST 2110 support in an openGear® format card with dual 25G Ethernet interfaces for ST 2022-7 support. The INDIGO OG-2110-BIDI4-GATEWAY is a bi-directional quad channel native ST 2110 interface to SDI I/O. 

COBALT INDIGO ST 2110-DC is a very cost-effective, powerful, and highly integrated factory option that adds native processing over IP with 25G Ethernet interfaces to audio/video processing elements to numerous Cobalt cards.  Support for ST-2022-7 seamless redundancy switching is incorporated for improved reliability as well as IS-04/IS-05 NMOS for automatic discovery and configuration. Interfacing to an existing network is a snap. 

COBALT® ROYAL distribution amplifiers

The COBALT ROYAL family of distribution amplifiers are available in a vast variety of configurations to suit any application. The openGear cards feature a space-saving design and low power consumption for a high-density solution.
