EMG/Gravity Media delivers Australia Schools Spectacular – All4One event

EMG/Gravity Media, a provider of complex live creative production and media services, has detailed EMG/Gravity Media Australia’s collaboration with the New South Wales Department of Education.

The two entities collaborated in a broadcast technology and television production undertaking to create and deliver the 2024 Schools Spectacular – All 4 One, one of the biggest live events in Australia, and the event’s national broadcast on the Seven Network.

Schools Spectacular – All 4 One encompassed four live arena shows at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney Olympic Park with a national broadcast across Australia on the Seven Network.

From producing captivating performer backstory content, crafting the opening sequences at EMG/Gravity Media’s Sydney Production Centre, to a film unit travelling 3,000 kilometres throughout regional and rural New South Wales capturing the talents of the state’s public school students in a specially created music video, EMG/Gravity Media Australia delivered a comprehensive turnkey production outcome for the event.

The EMG/Gravity Media Australia undertaking involved a total TV production and technical staff of 75, deploying a state-of-the-art high definition (HD) outside broadcast (OB) truck and accessing 15 broadcast and specialty cameras.

Richard Spiewak, Manager, Arts Unit Operations and Administration, Executive Producer Schools Spectacular, said, “The EMG/Gravity Media team has a wealth of experience behind them and their dedication to what we produce is simply outstanding. It has been a very rewarding partnership.”

Mike Purcell, Head of Production, EMG/Gravity Media Australia, said, “EMG/Gravity Media is proud of its almost decade-long partnership with The Arts Unit on the broadcast production and facilitation of Schools Spectacular.

“For the EMG/Gravity Media team in Australia it is a highlight of our year to not only bring Schools Spectacular to television but it’s also rewarding to play a part in the growth and vocational experiences of NSW Public Schools students.”

Through its studios, production, post-production, OB facilities and specialist camera technologies, EMG/Gravity Media in Australia is currently involved with other major production companies, TV networks and pay-TV and streaming platforms across Australia in a number of big projects.
