Farmerswife Introduces Refreshed Software at IBC 2023: Celebrating Over a Quarter Century of Technological Evolution

At this year’s International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) in Amsterdam, Stephen Elliott, CEO of Farmerswife, expressed satisfaction with the turnout and the quality of clientele they interacted with. Although the show had a slightly shorter duration, spanning only Friday through Sunday, it didn’t deter the influx of their existing customers and potential prospects.

Elliott mentioned, “This year has been another good one. The Friday, Saturday, Sunday were very busy for us. We pre-booked meetings, and our existing customers and prospects visited us actively. The last day was quieter, but that’s usually expected.”

While the event might have been condensed, the quality of visitors was consistent. Elliott stated, “It was very good quality. People are actively looking for solutions, finding us through our marketing. It was also great to reconnect with existing clients we hadn’t seen in a while.”

Farmerswife has been a recognizable name in the media software industry for over 26 years. At IBC 2023, they showcased a newly upgraded version of their traditional product. Version 7 brings with it an array of fresh features and functionalities. “We introduced multiple currencies, a dark mode, and several other features in this new version,” Elliott revealed.

Alongside their flagship product, Farmerswife also highlighted their ‘Cirkus platform’. This standalone platform not only boasts its own features but is also designed to integrate seamlessly with the primary Farmerswife software. Elliott shared, “Cirkus is growing in stature and functionality, and we’re proud to showcase its enhancements.”

When asked about the uniqueness of Farmerswife’s offerings, Elliott responded, “We offer an end-to-end solution for any media company, be it a broadcaster, post-function, production company, or any other related entity. Our software can manage a business’s operations from budgeting to invoicing, reporting, and everything in between. It’s comprehensive in its approach.”

Farmerswife has seen a diverse array of clientele. “Our customer base is a wide spectrum. While we cater to traditional post and production companies, a significant number of broadcasters also utilize our products internally within their departments. Moreover, educational institutions and universities are adopting our tools, which signifies the versatility of our software,” Elliott elaborated.

The success at IBC 2023 underscores Farmerswife’s commitment to innovation and understanding the evolving needs of the media industry. As the industry continues to change, companies like Farmerswife remain at the forefront, offering solutions that are both robust and tailored to the industry’s specific needs.
