FingerWorks’ versatile telestrators uplift sports broadcasts worldwide

FingerWorks Telestrators is cementing its position at the cutting edge of live sports broadcasting, playing a pivotal role in major events such as NASCAR, the Paris Olympics, IndyCar racing, US college basketball, and high school football. Among its most notable deployments, six custom FingerWorks systems are powering PGA Tour Studios’ new state-of-the-art facility in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
Selected to support the PGA Tour’s next-generation media operations, the FingerWorks telestration systems deliver real-time touchscreen capabilities integrated with advanced computer vision tracking tools. Each of the studio’s five production spaces features these customised solutions, designed specifically for PGA Tour workflows.
The facility is said to be the first studio in its category to fully support both high dynamic range (HDR) and SMPTE ST 2110 formats. HDR enhances colour depth and contrast for a more vivid broadcast experience, while ST 2110 enables efficient transmission of uncompressed video, audio, and data over IP networks.
Beyond the studios, the PGA Tour’s new NEP-supplied production trucks are also equipped with FingerWorks software, ensuring a visual storytelling experience across mobile and remote workflows. Major broadcast partners, including CBS, NBC, and ESPN, are utilising FingerWorks’ capabilities, ensuring consistent quality and enhanced viewer experiences across all PGA Tour coverage worldwide.
The versatility of FingerWorks’ technology is further demonstrated through its collaboration with WTVision, part of the Add India Group, during the 2025 Indian Cricket season. WTVision customised FingerWorks Computer Vision tools to enhance live cricket coverage with dynamic, real-time layer tracking, custom-linked rosters, advanced statistical overlays, and player distance monitoring.
FingerWorks’ innovations also extend to other major sporting events. NBC has integrated the company’s Remote Integration Model (REMI) support features into its coverage of the Paris Olympics and US College basketball. Through REMI, NBC was able to deliver live, multi-location broadcasts while maintaining real-time telestration and graphic integration directly from its headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut. For college basketball, FingerWorks’ advanced player tracking and telestration software adds an extra layer of in-game analysis, elevating the viewing experience for fans and commentators alike.
In motorsports, FingerWorks continues to make an impact with its real-time car tracking and driver roster technologies, enhancing NASCAR broadcasts across FOX, CW, and TNT, as well as IndyCar coverage on FOX. These tools deliver detailed, dynamic insights into race dynamics, offering audiences a deeper, data-driven view of each event.
