FOR-A innovative switchers meeting evolving needs of modern broadcast

As Europe’s most forward-thinking broadcasters are strategically implementing software-defined architectures that deliver immediate operational benefits, FOR-A is heading to IBC 2025 to demonstrate how their technologies can help connect traditional workflows with next-generation possibilities.

Highlights at stand 2.B53 include the HANABI HVS-Q12 production switcher. Delivering broadcast-grade reliability in a space-efficient 4RU package, the HVS-Q12 can be expanded to 60 inputs and 32 outputs for HD and 42 inputs and 23 outputs for 4K.

Equipped with up to eight keyers available on each Mix/Effects (ME) in 3G/HD-SDI, the HVS-Q12 features FOR-A functions such as high dynamic range (HDR)/standard dynamic range (SDR) conversion, up/down conversion, and audio pass through.

FOR-A is also demonstrating the FOR-A MixBoard, a software-based switcher designed to meet the evolving needs of modern broadcast and live production environments, allowing users to create complex compositions and transitions with just a few clicks.

Input types can be mixed and matched between SDI, NDI, SRT, media, live streams and innovative inputs, allowing the creation and quick recall of complex projects with dynamic layouts and effects. With support for a range of video inputs including SDI, NDI, and SRT, FOR-A MixBoard offers flexibility for hybrid production setups. To learn more, speak with the FOR-A team at IBC 2025, which is taking place from September 12-15 at the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre.
