GB Labs’ latest all-NVME solutions increase storage at reduced cost

To deliver “unparalleled performance, flexibility, and efficiency to media professionals”, GB Labs has launched SPACE NVME and SPACE NVME Plus, its latest all-NVMe (Non-Volatile Memory Express) storage solutions.
SPACE NVME is a high-performance 1U NAS (Network Attached Storage) featuring 8 NVMe drives, delivering up to 10 Gbps throughput to the network. It comes equipped with dual 100GbE connectivity as standard, with the flexibility to expand network I/O as needed.
SPACE NVME Plus steps up to a 2U chassis with 20 NVMe drives, achieving 30 Gbps of network performance. It features dual 200GbE networking and supports capacities up to 1.2 petabyte, all within just 2U of rack space.
This storage density allows customers to achieve capacity and throughput without consuming excessive rack space. Additionally, the solid-state design and compact form factor contribute to energy efficiency, resulting in significant savings on power and cooling costs. These systems are not only faster but also smarter investments for long-term operation, says GB Labs.
A standout feature of the SPACE NVMe range is its expandability with spinning disks, a rarity in NVMe storage solutions. Traditionally, expanding NVMe systems is complex due to their substantial demands on processor resources, often requiring intricate clustering systems or being entirely unfeasible.
GB Labs has addressed this challenge by enabling customers to integrate additional storage using the SPACE NVMe EX, a dual path SAS HDD expander. This solution, says GB Labs, significantly increases storage capacity at a reduced cost while maintaining high performance.
Dominic Harland, CEO, GB Labs, said, “There are very few true NVMe NAS products on the market and almost none are within reach of real-world production teams.
“PACE NVMe changes that. You’re getting extreme performance, scalability, and stability, with the same intelligent software stack GB Labs is known for, at a fraction of the cost.”
