Irdeto will be presenting a range of technologies that are aimed to support media companies in combating content piracy while accelerating the growth of direct-to-consumer streaming services at IBC2022 in Amsterdam.
The Super Aggregator suite will be on display at booth 1.D51. Comprising Irdeto Android TV and Irdeto RDK Video Accelerator, the Super Aggregator suite offers a deterministic path with pre-integrated, pre-tested and pre-certified security as well as support to deploy over-the-top (OTT) and hybrid video platforms efficiently and securely. This approach allows operators to choose from a variety of original equipment manufacturers (OEM) partners, SoC vendors, user experience (UX) providers and app stores.
Irdeto will also be demonstrating the ACCESS NewRange App Portal as an alternative for operators to consider when integrating an app store into the RDK platform.
Next are Irdeto App Watch and Irdeto Control. The former allows pay-TV operators to leverage data and analytics to create new business opportunities, combat piracy, safeguard subscribers from malware, and lower total cost of ownership.
The latter is a multi-digital rights management (DRM) solution that enables pay-TV and media distributors to scale and develop new opportunities for content monetisation. Concurrent stream management by Irdeto Control uses DRM-based licensing to create upselling and reduce revenue loss by discouraging subscriber credential sharing.
Other solutions that will be demonstrated are Irdeto Server-Side Ad Insertion, an advertising solution to enable media operators to maximise the value of premium ad inventory or support ad-funded services; and Irdeto Anti-Piracy series, a suite of anti-piracy intelligence solutions to identify piracy trends, security weakness and stop illegal content distribution.
