Laowa introduces world’s dazzling anamorphic 60mm set of lenses

Laowa has introduced the Nanomorph 60mm, which claims to be the world’s first 60 mm 0.5X Macro Anamorphic lens for S35 sensors. 

The Nanomorph 60mm Macro lens can produce a 0.5x magnified image at its closest focusing distance of 24 mm/9.45″ with a 1.5x anamorphic squeeze. It produces a 0.5X magnified image, breaking through previous technological constraints and surpassing lenses of similar focal lengths in the market.

This large aperture, combined with its exceptional optical design, delivers outstanding performance in low-light shooting situations. It allows you to capture more details in the frame, emphasise specific details, and guide the audience’s attention to them. 

In addition, it enables smooth movement shots from the closest focus to infinity continuously, eliminating the limitations typically associated with diopters. It also allows for the creation of organic and smooth oval bokeh with an extra shallow depth of field, and also the production of a visually captivating cinematic flare, further enhancing the overall cinematic effects.
