Layercake emerged as the recipient of the Live Event Streaming – Australia honour at the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting+ Awards 2025 after it launched Streamcake.

In a recent live demo hosted with SMPTE Oceania, Layercake orchestrated a live multi-camera production using remote feeds, automated captioning, and cloud GPU processing—showing how media teams can deliver complex productions from anywhere, using best-in-class tools like Grass Valley’s AMPP, AI-Media’s LEXI, and Sharon AI, all linked via NEXTDC’s AXON network.
In one case study, a major Australian international sporting code used Streamcake to combine live video with real-time match data, automatically placing ad markers based on in-game events. This resulted in potential revenue increase of up to 96x.
