Magewell and Central Control have announced the integration of Magewell’s production and IP workflow solutions into Central Control’s latest show control application, Central Control 4.
Central Control 4 now supports Magewell’s Director Mini and Pro Convert decoders, offering users control within the application’s framework. This integration streamlines workflows and enhances control capabilities for broadcasters and media professionals.
Nick Ma, CEO & CTO of Magewell, said, “Central Control 4 vastly expands the ways that our solutions can be controlled and automated by third-party tools even if they don’t directly integrate with our offerings.”
The Director Mini module enables control of scene switching, graphics triggering, and audio functionalities, including VU meters and “scribble strips” with compatible control surfaces. Meanwhile, the Pro Convert decoder module facilitates easy selection of source video streams.
Magewell’s Director Mini combines multi-input switching, graphics, streaming, recording, and monitoring in a compact, portable device. Pro Convert decoders transform live IP media streams into high-quality HDMI or SDI outputs, catering to diverse production needs.
The integration will be showcased through live demonstrations of the Director Mini at Magewell’s booth C6816 during the 2024 NAB Show, which is taking place from April 13-17 at the Las Vegas Convention Centre. Central Control will also be featured at the X-Keys booth SL8118.
Joe de Max, Director at Central Control, concluded, “By allowing essentially any controller to control practically anything, Central Control 4 is especially valuable for productions that use a diverse array of equipment.
“We received many customer requests to add support for Magewell solutions, and we’re excited to make Director Mini and Pro Convert decoders part of the Central Control ecosystem.”
