As the newest member of the 4K Workflows Partners, MOG Technologies will integrate the VariCam 4K/UHD workflow support within its mxfSPEEDRAIL and SKYWATCH systems

MOG Technologies is now a member of the 4K Workflows Partners, an initiative from Panasonic. To date, the initiative has about 30 members who are committed to supporting VariCam 4K/Ultra HD (UHD) workflow, including AVC-Intra 4K, V-RAW, and In-camera colour grading.

The collaboration between MOG and Panasonic dates back to 2007, where the former became a P2 and AVC-Ultra partner due to the developments made both on its MXF media libraries and mxfSPEEDRAIL central ingest system in the past decade.

The formalisation on the 4K Workflows partnership level was a “natural step”, as MOG has been supporting Panasonic’s devices and codecs over the years, said MOG. Currently, both mxfSPEEDRAIL and SKYWATCH systems support the VariCam 4K/UHD workflow, including the AVC-Intra 4K formats and memory card drive, AU-XPD1 and AU-XPD3. The support also extends to AU-EVA1, Panasonic’s compact cinema camera.
