Nixer’s CV1 AoIP offering greater speed, precision & flexibility

At IBC 2025, Nixer Pro Audio is debuting its CV1, an all-in-one audio-over-IP (AoIP) monitoring unit designed for broadcast control rooms, production suites, recording studios, and live performance workflows.

Based on Nixer’s proven RLC64 rackmount unit, the CV1 incorporates a series of enhancements following change requests from a national broadcaster, resulting in a solution that prioritises quality, speed, and integration.

The unit offers a streamlined, speaker-free architecture to optimise integration with premium external loudspeakers and dedicated loudness meters via separate AES and line outputs. It currently supports Dante, Ravenna/AES67, and ST 2110 formats, with AVB-Milan on the roadmap.

Nick Fletcher, Founder & CEO, Nixer Pro Audio, said, “In live broadcast operations and recording studios, sound quality during audio monitoring is paramount. Being able to listen to all channels through high-quality external speakers provides audio professionals with greater assurance and control.”

The CV1 also features dual headphone outputs with independent level control through precision rotary encoders and provides access to 32 stereo inputs, including 30 AoIP inputs, one AES input and one stereo line input. Instant access to all 32 inputs is available via touchscreen selection.

Output control features include individual left and right channel mute, as well as a dim function with user-adjustable attenuation ranging from 0 to 30 dB.

Fletcher added, “We’ve introduced additional purpose-built functions such as phase reverse, mono sum, dim, channel mute, and customisable monitoring trims. These capabilities ensure speed, precision and flexibility for mission-critical workflows by helping verify phase alignment and identify any audio anomalies.” To experience CV1’s capabilities first-hand, visit stand 8.F96 at IBC 2025, which is taking place from September 12-25 at the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre.
