Red Bee speeds up onboarding assets registration on EIDR

Red Bee Media, a global media services provider, has partnered with the Entertainment Identifier Registry (EIDR) to enhance content management practices through global standardisation and improved metadata enrichment.
To support this initiative, the companies are offering EIDR members the opportunity to utilise Red Bee Media’s resources for faster catalogue onboarding and asset registration in the EIDR database. EIDR provides a unique identifier for audiovisual content across the global entertainment industry that is universally accepted as the gold standard.
Red Bee Media has extensive experience in providing global metadata solutions and related services, evolving to support free advertising supported television (FAST), over-the-top (OTT), video-on-demand (VoD), Universal Search, and more. This expertise has led to the development of a mapping process that associates EIDR IDs with Red Bee Media metadata. As a result, over 1.7 million EIDR IDs have been successfully mapped into the Red Bee Media database.
Combining the globally recognised EIDR ID with content management, data migration, and customer onboarding services provided by Red Bee Media enhances the availability of enriched data and source consistency.
Hollie Choi, Managing Director, EDIR, said, “By leveraging the advantages of our partnership with Red Bee, EIDR members can utilise content management and enrichment expertise alongside the EIDR mapping process.
“This collaboration allows them to quickly improve supply chain efficiencies and enable value-added services.”
Shaun Stark, Head of North America, Content Discovery, Red Bee Media, added, “Red Bee Media service offerings are consistently managed with the highest level of expertise. We strive to lead the industry in a positive direction.
“Working with EIDR promotes the evolution of standardised content management practices. This collaboration not only helps EIDR members accelerate the integration of enriched content but also provides customers with the level of haste and flexibility that are essential in an industry that demands constant updates and accurate metadata.”
