Riedel’s DSP-1216 can easily access all three 1200 Series SmartPanels

Riedel Communications has introduced the DSP-1216HL SmartPanel, a compact, ergonomic desktop intercom panel designed to complement the company’s 1200 Series SmartPanels.

With a purpose-built form factor, the DSP-1216HL offers a space-saving, multi-functional interface for professionals in broadcast, live event production, theatres, outside broadcast (OB) vans, and sports venues, bringing the power and flexibility of Riedel’s software-defined SmartPanel ecosystem to the desktop.

Much like a smartphone, a SmartPanel allows users to adapt its functionality to their workflows by leveraging various apps instead of multiple single-purpose panels. This flexible approach reduces hardware costs and complexity while future-proofing investments, as new features can be added via software updates. 

At launch, the DSP-1216HL will support all three 1200 Series SmartPanel Apps: the Intercom App for real-time communication, the Control Panel App for third-party integration, and the Audio Monitoring App for high-performance audio monitoring.
