SSL enables broadcasters to implement technology of choice for IP workflows

Want to deliver more flexible audio workflows and simplify IP connectivity with automated signal discovery and management?

Head to booth N1813C at NAB 2025 to check out Solid State Logic’s new fully native ST 2110 card for the company’s System T ecosystem.

Designed to streamline ST 2110 workflows and simplify the management of flexible and remote infrastructures, the new card enables users to exploit the respective benefits of ST 2110-based environments, as well as hybrid ST 2110/Dante setups, with minimal investment in hardware.

SSL’s native implementation also simplifies integration, leveraging Networked Media Open Specifications (NMOS) IS-04 and IS-05 for automated discovery and signal management. This, says SSL, makes it easier for users to integrate all their signals directly into the System T Tempest engine, irrespective of audio and video production workflows, and without any need for conversion.

Berny Carpenter, Broadcast Product Manager, SSL, said, “It means that multiple flavours of IP audio are now native to the System T console, and incredibly easy to manage. Many of our broadcast customers routinely enjoy the benefits of Dante for their main audio network but are increasingly taking ST 2110 audio streams from a range of video and broadcast infrastructure equipment.”

With the ability to deliver up to 2,048 native ST 2110 channels, SSL’s implementation simplifies workflows by leveraging the Advanced Media Workflow Association’s (AMWA) interoperative suite of NMOS recommendations to automatically deliver discovery, connection management, and control of IP video and audio devices. To find out more, speak with Carpenter and the SSL team at NAB 2025, which is taking place at the Las Vegas Convention Centre from April 5 to 9.
