Speaking during the BroadcastAsia 2023 event of APB+, Synamedia’s Director of Solutions Engineering Morten Rasmussen said that they met many industry leaders during the event, it being their first time to attend.
It was the best venue to promote their new products as it launches more for their niched yet wide market.
First is its self-service SaaS solutions which will help in content distribution over cloud via IP.
“The Self-Service SaaS solution for primary distribution of content, helping content providers distribute over the cloud using IP. As one of our solutions, another SaaS solution we have for assisting content providers for I would say, even wider many, many endpoints,” he said.
As for clients looking for better costing solutions, Synamedia also has the CDN technology.
“We also have our Vivid PowerVu, where we are using CDN technology for achieving a better cost for the overall solution. So those two systems or solutions are really complementing each other,” he added.
Apart from these, the company is also looking into providing better viewing experience in sports content. Synamedia provides for vivid high-end compression with low-latency delivery to provide quality service in global-scale events.
“In addition to these primary distribution solutions, where we are helping content providers move from satellite to IP, we also having an end-to-end sports low latency distribution solution,”
“From our vivid high-end compression, low-latency packaging on optimized through also what we call our fluid Edge CDN, we can do an end-to-end optimized low latency delivery. This can be within local stadiums or scale for more global events outside the state,” he explained.
With the goal to promote its services, Synamedia is looking into putting its efforts on sports content. This is complemented by its distribution solutions for cost-efficient OTT delivery.
“We are focusing a lot on those who acquire sports content. [It has been a] challenge of getting that distributed in a low latency and in an efficient way. The solutions are either SaaS based with a cloud ops team supporting our customer [or] with this Quortex solution,” Rasmussen said.
“Here I mentioned a primary switch, but we also have a distribution solution for OTT delivery which is very cost-efficient, but where the solution is self-service, the customer can configure his own workflow and manage that fully on his own in a very cost-efficient manner.”
With over 30 years of experience, Synamedia is committed to improving its services to all its clients and potential customers. With a particular focus on Asia Pacific the coming years, it aims to find more clients in the tech and sports industry.
