TSL Products worked with leading broadcasters and content creators to manufacture and design broadcast workflow solutions for over 30 years.
The company aimed to assist in simplifying operations in television broadcast, cable, satellite, IPTV, and IT industries. The company also specializes in audio monitoring, broadcast control systems, and power management tools.
In an interview held in the recently concluded BroadcastAsia 2023, Rob Adams, the Director of Sales and Marketing Worldwide, explained further on how TSL Products provide their service.
“We used to call ourselves TSL products. But actually, if you look at our logo, we now focus on audio, control, and power because that’s what we’re really selling. So, everything is networked. Where we got in the business domain, it’s about 50% of our business globally,” he said.
TSL has been focused on offering audio monitoring, control solutions, and power solutions. A commonality among the three were how their networks are controlled by control solution devices.
As an independent controls service provider, other user bases expected them to assist in enabling connectivity and suitable control solutions for broadcasters.
“We have an installed user base around the world as one of our tier one customers. They wanted to work with us since we are an independent control service provider. Many broadcasters use control solutions, but they often have a proprietary provider in their hardware. As that hardware changes, they need someone to come in and enable the connectivity between its engineering. From there, that’s really what we specialize in,” he said.
Rob also enumerated what their company offered, stating that their services exceeded other manufacturers.
“We run specialization, customization, and repair-of-holes which other main manufacturers lack the ability of or haven’t got the ability to make interoperability occur,” he added.
The company reconsidered adding an IP or bolt on since they noticed people in hybrid environments nowadays have baseband installation.
“One of the hot topics for us is a hybrid environment, where most of the people got basehand installations and wanted to try to add on IP or bolt on,” he said.
TSL Products now sets its goal in providing solutions that enable its users to set up at a low cost, and to utilize a similar interface with SDI controls.
“We’re offering solutions that enable them to set up at low costs and high agile deployment for a proof of concept, and has a similar interface to when they are using SDI controls,'” he said.
For two decades, TSL Products integrated its services with TSL’s international systems to deliver high quality products for the broadcaster’s use. With TSL Products’s announcement to be independent back in 2012, the business continued to serve the broadcast industry across the globe.
With its services,TSL Products ensured not only satisfactory solutions but also results that exceed commercial, operational, and technical requirements present in IT-based and traditional workflow.
The company seeks to provide services to its customers at a lower cost, and from there, generate revenue and streamline its operations.
