TVRI Sport upgrades to Etere ETX to enhance its operational efficiency

Indonesian public broadcaster TVRI has chosen Etere to support the playout automaton and master control of its dedicated sports channel, TVRI Sport.

According to TVRI, this upgrade marks a significant expansion of the Etere ecosystem within the TVRI network and strengthens a long-standing partnership. By adopting Etere ETX, TVRI Sport enhances its operational efficiency with a fully IT-based channel-in-a-box solution that supports IP, NDI, and SDI workflows across multiple frame rates.

With Etere ETX, all traditional master control functions are available via a software interface, reducing hardware footprint. The HTML5 renderer supports dynamic graphics like tickers, crawlers, and animated logos, with no extra hardware required.

Supporting global standards like NewTek NDI, SMPTE 2022, and SMPTE 2110, ETX enables live video ingest and playout over SDI, NDI, and IP streams and is built to adapt to emerging codecs and protocols.

Etere Master Control integrates tightly with ETX, offering a centralised interface for video mixing, branding, and audio control. It delivers fast response times and supports touchscreen displays for an intuitive user experience.

ETX includes tools for inserting CEA-608 and CEA-708 captions, with direct streaming to DVB or ARIB. It also supports live subtitling with built-in time delay and an integrated ETX inserter, all from a single interface.

Etere supports virtual and cloud-based deployments, allowing unlimited scalability of streams without the high infrastructure costs. Additionally, ETX’s client-server architecture supports remote control by multiple clients, ensuring redundancy, high availability, and robust fault tolerance.

An advanced graphics engine supports up to eight layers of graphic overlays, including fixed and animated logos, L-shape squeezes, crawls, and transition effects to support enhanced live sports content.
