Vidispine and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have jointly announced the launch of vortech.by, a technology-focused conference aimed at developers, solutions architects and technologists in the media and video platform industry.
The inaugural event will be held on March 5 and 6 at Scandic Victoria Tower, Stockholm, Sweden. Topics that will be discussed during the conference include cloud editing, streaming technologies, sports, artificial intelligence (AI), workflow and task management.
Isak Jonsson, CTO at Vidispine, said: “We wanted to initiate a new kind of industry event that was more about the technology, networking and learning. Existing events have to balance business and technology features, but we feel that they fail to get to an appropriate degree of technical depth.
“Our goal is to demonstrate to audiences about integrating new components into the cloud, allowing them to monitor their assets through the media supply chain. vortech.by makes a clear stance — it is all about the technology and problems to be solved.”
