Witbe shifts focus to Android TV for 2023 due to spike in demand

This is following an increase in tech devices that relied on the Android platform.

For 20 years, Witbe reinvented various methods of providing digital services, particularly for test automation, and proactive monitoring technology. As an international company, interested customers around the globe can ask for their assistance.

The company created both hardware and software applications for video service providers for customers who either are at home or need them on-the-go. They also provided other services ranging from remote testing to live service alerts.

Overall, the company guaranteed its customers good quality service with the best viewing experience possible.

In the recently concluded BroadcastAsia 2023 hosted by APB+, Vice President for Sales, Gilles Richard, shared how far the company helped their customers in their digital needs.

“We provide test automation and proactive monitoring technology to video service providers, OTT content creators, and broadcasters who wish to have access to consumer relations. This was mainly to test the control to improve their quality of service in delivering solutions to their subscribers and consumers,” he said.

For the Asia Pacific, Witbe wanted to focus on Android TV due to its relevance and usage around the globe today, following millions of users shifting to digital streaming services nowadays.

“Focus for this year is the Android TV as you see on the market. In Asia Pacific, many operators are launching with Android TV… There was a press release explaining what are the changes you see yourself with all the visibility you have across the country through and from our point of view, which is, of course, more than the news,” he said.

Gilles also explained an observation Wibte had noted after looking into the growing utilization of Android TV.

“In Asia Pacific, many operators are launching with Android TV… From there, they rely on our technology to ensure that their operations and video services continue to work on any kind of consumer devices, set up boxes, Android TV set up boxes, smart TVs, relying on Android TV, iOS, Android, smartphone, tablets, and so on, ” Gilles added.

Gilles claim that they now have many users who are interested in availing their services. Just recently, a Vice President of a well-known local Singapore video services provider requested their assistance during the launch of its Android TV service.

“Many users? Yes, indeed. But buyers, not that much. This morning, the vice president  of a known and local Singapore video service provider came to us and said they’re going to launch Android TV. From there they asked what experiences are involved and how we can help them to ensure that their launch is going to be successful,” he said.

“They want to ensure that their subscribers will remain with them. If they mess up the video quality or application, potential customers might lose interest and go for other applications,” he said.

With a newfound goal, Witbe hopes to continue providing its services for Android TV along with 4k mobile delivery within the APAC region.
