CCTV Pioneer
Media & Entertainment Co (CPEC), one of the largest public service
broadcasters in China owned by China Media Group, has deployed Clear-Com’s
HelixNet Digital Network, LQ IP Series Interfaces and the Agent-IC Mobile
Intercom App to enable stations and on-site camera operators to broadcast live on
their social media platforms.

The new system was used for a remote production between
Beijing World Art Museum and CPEC Media Center, and integrated by Clear-Com’s
local partner, Beijing CRT Technology.

“During the
live production, the communication between production members was stable, clear
and crisp,” said Haoran Zhai, Technical Engineer at Beijing CRT Technology.

The Agent-IC
app can be downloaded on users’ mobile devices. The HelixNet digital main
station, three desktop portable remote stations and three LQ Series devices
were deployed in CPEC’s Media Center. HelixNet could connect to the three LQ
devices via secure LAN, WAN or Wi-Fi, which enables all fixed points to communicate
with the remote Agent-IC users. The system is also easily configurable.

“If they need
to produce four programmes at once for their social media platforms, they can
have a channel for each technical director (one at each fixed point), who can
then communicate with six remote Agent-IC users, while the other technical director
communicates with their team of six and so on, without any interference,”
explained Zhai.

LQ Series
devices have multiple functions to give any communication operation incredible
flexibility. LQ can convert traditional two-wire and four-wire audio signals
into IP and vice versa.
