Leader Electronics has added new features to its LVB440 IP analyser, including the integration of JPEG XS compression analysis. This, said the company, makes the LVB440 an ideal choice for broadcasting networks, production studios, master control facilities, outside broadcast (OB) vehicles and public venues.
The LVB440 supports data rates of up to 100 Gbps and thus 4K/Ultra HD (UHD) production, offering broadcasters the flexibility to monitor complex and varied network configurations that consist of both IP and legacy elements. In this way, they can ensure reliable high quality of service from anywhere in the world simply by accessing the probe through an HTML-5 browser, said Leader Electronics.
The LVB440 now comes with enhanced closed captioning measurement options, supporting OP-47, CEA-608 and CEA-708 data analysis, including on-screen display and technical debugging.
Other new features include the addition of 5.1 and 7.1 multichannel surround sound display capability plus LUFS (Loudness Unit Full Scale) monitoring mix-down to stereo pair for remote monitoring via a web-browser, and a rolling packet capture measurement mode that supports continuous capture of data packets in a loop mode, simplifying fault-finding if an error is detected.
These features are now available as standard, while existing models can be updated online to the latest version.
