As the company prepares its booth for the event, Jacky Yee, Head of Sales – Asia-Pacific, and Oscar Hu, Regional Sales Manager, sat down for an exclusive interview with Asia-Pacific Broadcasting+ to offer a preview of the products they will be showcasing.
One of the highlights of GatesAir’s exhibit will be the newly launched GX Series. Yee explained, “A lot of people know about the Flexiva series, which is our flagship product. However, this GX series is a newly launched product. It received the Best of the Show Award at the last IBC in Amsterdam, and we also received another Best of the Show Award during the most recent show in Las Vegas in April. So, we’re excited to bring this product to BroadcastAsia and showcase its features.”
When asked about the specifics of the GX Series, Yee elaborated, “The GX Series is focused on providing support for entry-level customers at a price competitive point. We have the high-end series, we have the mid-end series, and now we have the GX compact series, which serves as an entry-level solution. The power options for this series range from 50 watts to 10 kilowatts, all in a compact TC solution.”
Yee emphasized that the unique selling proposition of the GX Series lies in its compact design. “It’s a compact unit where we pack all the power into a single chassis. We also offer a redundant power supply, so it’s an all-in-one package. This makes it a highly convenient and efficient solution for customers,” he added.
In addition to the GX Series, GatesAir will also be showcasing their weatherproof TV transmitter solution at the event. Hu introduced the product, stating, “This is another product that we’ll be showcasing. Many people have wondered whether these are working solutions. As you can see, today we mounted it on a pole, and it has been tested in various locations. In our last experiment, we tested this in Singapore, which has a humid environment. We subjected it to stringent tests over the past six months, and it has proven to be a reliable and working pole transmitter.”
Hu highlighted the key features of the weatherproof TV transmitter, explaining, “This transmitter is designed with a weather seal and has no moving parts or fans. It has undergone rigorous testing in different environments, including the desert and the humid conditions of Singapore. It is a robust solution that ensures uninterrupted transmission even in challenging weather conditions.”
