Kacific Broadband Satellites Group Connects the Unconnected in Asia Pacific

Kacific Broadband Satellites Group, a leading provider of satellite internet services, aims to bridge the digital divide in rural areas across the Asia Pacific region. With its next-generation High Throughput Satellite, the company is committed to connecting the unconnected, serving 25 countries, including Indonesia, the Philippines, and Papua New Guinea, as well as numerous Pacific Islands.

Kyley Tan, Senior Marketing Manager at Kacific, highlighted the company’s unique approach during an interview at the BroadcastAsia Show 2023 in Singapore. He emphasized the importance of local representation and engagement with the communities they serve, setting Kacific apart from larger competitors.

Tan explained, “Today, what differentiates us is that we have local representatives on the ground, along with distributors who speak the language of the communities. This separates us from bigger players who may be connected through a call center and lack partners on the ground. We are committed to serving our partners with the right language, understanding their needs, and contributing to the local economy.”

Kacific’s mission goes beyond providing connectivity. By empowering remote populations, the company aims to foster education, economic growth, and development in these underserved areas. Tan stated, “Once they have connectivity, we want them to contribute back to the local economy, drive education, and foster growth in these communities that face numerous challenges.”

The target market for Kacific’s products includes residential customers, enterprises, and government officials in the 25 countries they serve. The company offers two core products to meet the diverse needs of its customers. The first is FlexVNO, which provides wholesale bandwidth to specific audiences. The second is Kikstarter, a franchise retail model that collaborates with local Internet Service Providers (ISPs) on the ground. This partnership ensures that communities in remote rural areas can access reliable internet connectivity powered by satellite technology.

Kacific’s commitment to localized support and tailored services has resonated with its customers. By engaging with the local communities through language, cultural understanding, and on-the-ground partners, the company has positioned itself as a reliable and accessible provider of satellite internet services. This approach has enabled Kacific to effectively address the connectivity challenges faced by underserved regions in the Asia Pacific.

As Kacific continues to expand its operations and satellite coverage, it remains dedicated to its mission of connecting the unconnected. By leveraging its next-generation High Throughput Satellite and strategic partnerships, the company aims to empower rural areas, bridge the digital divide, and contribute to the sustainable development of communities across the Asia Pacific region.

Tan concluded the interview by stating, “We believe that connectivity is a fundamental right. It is our responsibility to ensure that everyone, regardless of their location, has access to the opportunities that the digital world offers.”

With its unwavering commitment to connecting the unconnected, Kacific Broadband Satellites Group is poised to make a lasting impact on the lives of millions in the Asia Pacific region.
